Default Well the tranny put up a good fight

I was suprised my transmission lasted as long as it did. Tonight I was doing some tuning for new parts and it finally let go. I had just a TransGo shift kit in it, and it lasted far longer than I thought it would have been able to. I guess the 56lb/min (417g/s) maf reading was a little much for it.

RIP one hard working tranny

I think I will have a local shop build a new one with a parts list of what FLP Transmissions does to strengthen their 4l60e trannies.

Where do you get a parts list of what FLP does?

Hopefully your 65E with the shift kit and servos will last longer.

Ryan, do you know what broke in the trans? What are the symptoms?

It will cost you about as much in parts as it would to just buy a tranny from FLP. It isn't just the parts either, it's the builder that has more to do with it than anything.

I learned my lesson about getting someone to build me one.
