Pat, what kinda black coating ya got there? And, why did ya do it? I'm figuring either sound, heat, or your whole blackout theme or some combo of the 3.

On a side note, u guys suck w/. how nice underside looks in your warm climates. Dang roadsalt.

Ahh no. You're the homo, so sorry I don't have DSL like u refer.

Back to task at hand. I do like how easy a fluid & filter change would be on your Y setup. Myself, at least I've got a drain plug, but the tranny pan has to come down on a fluid change since the Dyna y-pipe crosses right there. If I ever redo the collector - midpipe to throw in a cutout, Imas hafta think of this setup right here.

What are u talkin bout here ... "but cuts out a easy 1 1.5 feet to put that Y in"? How are ya removing 1- 1 1/2' ?!?

... U said you're running a huge diesel muffler, ~10'' dia x at least 24'' long. Have u ever seen a Corsa muffler? They're not particularly small like your winky (so I've heard).

Ok Mr Dsl face.. 1 1.5 ft mean it moves my Y-merge back that much further then if it had the cross over under the trans pan.. So it doesn't merge to after the trans member.. That leaves ruffly 15 or so inches between that, the beg of the muffler.. The muffler is 25 inches case, from tip - tip is 30-31''s The cut out Y itself is 11''. So this leaves a few inches either side of it to go between the merge, the muffler.. Now the area it has to go, there is the crossover that is in the middle of the truck, it is welded to the frame, not removable.. Next is my DS loop. It can be removed, but takes up area.. So it would be a huge cluster *** under there, honestly I am not getting into pulling half the exhaust off the truck, hoping it will go in after cutting my stainless pipes to hell..

Gotcha, I thought that was what ya meant on movin the Y-merge back, just checkin.

Cut that welded X-member out. Ya dodn't need it at your low powa levels.

Wasn't it Spoolin that had that spider web lookin X-member. It was him, right? Thought of somethin like that, a tubular X-mamber?

Hey man, I hear ya on cutting s/s. Which is exactly what I don't want to do. But if I install an E-cutout, I'd need to wack the **** outta my stock 3" s/s Corsa midpipe!!!

I've thought of havin someone do a brand new 3" S/S mid w/. an E-cutout of S/S too put in. If I did your extended further Y-pipe too, I know it'd cost $$$, but it'd be the right time.

3 issues I face:
1) I've spent alot on my exh. from hdrs. to the end. If I do this, I'm done, no more exh. expenditures after.

2)Finding competent exh. guys. I don't want some booger lookin job.
I've had that on another truck.

3)I love how mine sounds now. NO drone, loud when I nail it, & it really doesn't raise eyebrows of cops. Usually. At least I try not to be into it when I see them. I'd hate for note to change, but cutout would be fun around the rappesrs & ricers. That's the biggest reason I want an E-cutout.

Seriously, not really performance. I don't say that often. Ever. Just to keep those types in order, ya gotta recognize.

The mufflers are RBP and that's how they come. I went with it as an experiment...and hated the sound. Im still not happy with my dual 3 setup. Just don't have time and don't want to spend the money to redo it again.
