i think it's definetly worth it to buy the extended warranty. you can wait all the way up to the last day of your warranty or the last mile. i waited until the end to buy mine. i have taken mine in a couple times, sure glad i had the warranty. since you have a 4x4 you should definetly get the warranty. i got the 7/year 100,000 mile warranty. YOU NEVER KNOW.......

 

well different people have diffrent thoughts when it comes to extended warrantys.personally i think they're a waste of money ,(my 2cts).I have a 2000 Z71 with 52k on it and have had no problems and its used.I guess it depends on what you prefer to spend your $$ on,a warranty that you'll prolly never use or mod's?? Your right , the things that do go wrong are usually relatively inexpensive, unless you sink your ride in a mud-hole like some dumb-asses i know,i'd think you'd be ok without one as long as you take care of your ride and do the sugg. routine maintance's

 

Get the extended warranty. It paid for my new engine at 47k. You can get one anytime through aftermarket companies, but the GM one you can only get before the factory waranty runs out.

 

Just curious about some options I have. I recently purchased a used 2001 Pewter GMC EC Z71. The truck had 19,070 miles when I drove it off the lot. Well I now have 22,330 miles on it now. My warranty is good to 36,000 miles.

Should I go and purchase an extended warranty or through yall's personal experiences, would it not be worth my time since some the things that do break are easily repairable within reasonable costs.

Or do yall recommend going and buying the extended warranty.
