want some info about my truck
#21
it's a 2001 silverado reg cab, short wheel base, 2600 stall, built 4l60e with shift kit and hayden cooler, heads, but not the good heads i had built, twin fans and pulleys, custom intake and exhaust, and i don't think it's street legal either

the only reason i havn't ran the quarter in it yet is cuz the nearest quarter is about 70 miles from here, and i don't know where to dyno it at either, my friend quad just ordered his dyno for his new diesel performance shop, but i havn't put the truck on it yet, i'll do so when i put the new heads and cam in it. not to mention the nitrous

Um...that sounds street legal to me man. I guess that is a high amount of bolt on modding. Why did you get LS1 headers? Have you seen the Arizona Speed Marine long tubes - a couple of guys here have them and they are sweet looking. Do the Camaro long tubes go down far enough to the ground as to clear the trucks firewall? Any other clearence issues with them? Just curious b/c that would be a lot more options for truck headers. You don't need to resleeve the block (unless it is aluminum like an LS1 engine) Iv'e heard to only go .030 over on the 5.3L block, but I may be wrong (that was out of Car Craft Magazine)Anyway, welcome to the site. People here are smart and can tell when something isn't right.

This doesn't add up.
Who did you work? I hope they didn't make all these claims to you without some documentation.

This thread just gets sillier as it goes. Badls1truck, just don't try to impress us anymore. It is working against you. If you truely do have all these mods and want to tell us about them, back it up with some concrete evidence. If you do have all this, you should know more about your truck and how these mods work. With all these mods, you must be crazy not to have run this a the track or dyno. Throw in thousands of dollars in mods and not one ET or HP #. Look dude if these are things you want to put on your truck, cool. Your thinking in the right direction. I think now you know, that many of these things just won't work. The guys here, are on the cutting edge of performance on these trucks. If you have all the stuff you claim, you, my friend have the Badest LS1 truck on the board. Lookout Oxidizr, you may have step aside and make some room. He is gunning for ya.

So did you sleep with the owner's daughter at Borla to get the LT headers? I'm just curious since they don't make a LT for the LS1 f-bodies. I, as well, have a one-off custom intake tube; it's called the K&N FIPK. Drive on through please.
