that seems to be one of the best cams for magnacharged trucks... i know a few members actually lost power with that TB converter and ended up swapping to better brand.... who does your tuning? best bang for the buck is to swap to a 6.0 instead of doing heads for the 5.3

by the way welcome to the forum, i know you got that nice blue c10 on the old forums...

as for a locker, get a detroit tru-trac limited slip, you dont want a real LOCKER on your daily driven truck...

Hey whats up man, ya im on that oldies forum, gettin a 6.0 installed in that one. As for my DD, was thinkin of gettin a 3000 converter and that Gt cam(has good torque). Read alot of threads that the Z06 cam didnt put out enough. You think some 5.3 port and polished heads would be good instead of installing 317s or 243s? Eber did tuning.

go to the forced indj. section, those guys will lead you the right way,

317/243 heads will lower your compression which is good for boost, most have had very good results with that... how good do you think the tuner is? i highly recommend Charlie Wheatley Performance, he is a site sponsor plus is local here in houston, plus he knows his stuff real good, that itself will make you gain...

Lingenfelter GT2+3 or Vinci Trucker-216/224 .551/.551 115 (if they're still available) would be good. I agree with ap2002 on having Charlie tune your truck, he's got a great rep and would do a great job for you even through the mail, but since you're local to him, you can get a street tune and he'll nail it for you
