Volant better than stock Radix intake?

Not a 3" hole, I'm talkin hack the entire bottom off. It sounds silly but it's cheap flow. I did that to my F150 before I got my FIPK...no more power with the FIPK over the hacked box. I got the box hacked on my WRX also. Also had it done on my '99 Z71 before I got my FIPK.

Keep the mounting legs there and just cutout the area around them. I also removed the plate under the box for more flow. I ATAP'd that and the IAT's come down much quicker with that plate off.

You're gonna gain a few HP (5-8rwhp maybe, could be more as you're blown) and a lot of blower whine!

to tell you the truth the ram air doesnt ram air in. in my experiences it may cool the intake temps down a little quicker but that is about it. oh yay most of us are doing 80 or above in the top end of a quarter mile. so maybe a tiny bit.

That is what I did to mine....makes a big difference
