ok im building a high revin hell raisin motor so i think the vic junior would be a nice setup it seems to make nice high end power

i see everyone is using elbows which are nice and all but has anyone tried to put a tb on top like it was a carb
the tb i will be using is a 90mm tbss

I'm sure there would still need to be a custom bracket made so that itwould bolt up.

You must be looking for an adapter like this.





I made a hand full of them a while back and sold them all. They worked nicely, but aren't a popular way to go.

richard you mention not a popular way to go, does this mean its not worth it? or just not many doing it this way. is there and disadvantage vs. vantage from this way to the elbow way ..

It seems that when the TB is direct mounted to the intake manifold (Vic JR.), there would be less plenum volume compared to a intake elbow setup. I believe that this can affect the torque curve of an engine relative to RPM.

I would also be worried about hood clearance issues. Having the highrise intake, apapter, throttle body and an elbow going to the rest of the intake is alot to cram in a short space. With the elbow on top of the intake it allows a better spacing of the filter/intake tube/maf/tb...

Would there be any pro or cons of using a 4 barrel carb style TB on one of these manifolds instead of a single 90mm?

compared to big ugly under my hood now and i have room to go this will nowhere compare to the height of the stock manifold
