Default VHO,SSS and Denali owners w/header pipes

Looking at my Bro's Sierra denali there's a bracket tied in to the Tranny above the pan that helps hold up the Cat pipe. I assume its there because its a dual pipe system weighing more than the 5.3 signal cat pipe.

Anyone that is using the Dynatechs, do they use this bracket?
I'm looking to put an entire exhaust, meant for a SSS on My Z71. The only part that is differant or extra is this bracket around the Tranny pan. I'll get one if I have to.
I'm hoping to Try QTP SSS system when it comes out and run a Dual SSS catback, Prolly magnaflow or I have been pleased with MY BB Triflo.
Thanks in advance.

I put the dynatech headers on my truck and the only thing that bracket did was get in the way. The headers dont use that bracket. when you take the old pipes off make sure you have a sawzaw to cut them off, otherwise that bracket is really going to **** you off.

I unbolted the bracket, put it in a box with my stock manifolds, and threw it in my attic. I didn't use it on my ASM headers and custom pipe job. But I do still have it so I can go back to stock when I want.

Not that I think about it, I've got a lot of stock junk in my attic. I hope it holds up.

This is good information...

ASMs or Dynatechs? Are there any differences?

Great, I don't need the Bracket.

My goal is to put a true Dual stainless Set up on My 5.3 Z71 ext cab. Hopefully I will have a 6.0 soon.
I figure I will go with the QTP when it comes out or Dynatech 6.0l setup and a BB or magnaflow rear exit dual catback meant for the SSS.

Looking at my Brother's Sierra Denali all the hangers are the same. I don't mind a little tweeking here and there.

I need stainless for the winter up here and there's know custom shops around. I'm at the mercy of bolt on stuff. I have tried the cut and paste-- bring it to the tig welder routine before and it was a pain on my Step side.

Thanks again guys.

I put my Dynatechs on and took the bracket off also, it was not in the way but I am sure it was going to hit the pipes and rattle.

I am not using the bracket either - there are no provisions for it on my Dynatech full header system.

I'm different though - I put the bracket back in place, because it has a smaller heat-shield attached to it (or part of it).
