Default Vararam vs volant? 07+ trucks

Any people who have tried the volant with the scoop that goes under the bumper? Is it better than vararam in making power? I have the vararam setup but it's getting to be a chore changing the air filter. Wanted to see if the volant would make the same power or more.

**** I like that vararam setup, when i finished my build i had that idea to help my blower breathe better, didnt think it was actually a thing.
Im interested in how beneficial it actually is. Im just afraid of sucking in water on a rainy day

Well you don't have to worry about the water. I've been had the intake on for about two years now. I've been through almost tornado like storms and never sucked up any water. Its a great intake and lets the truck pull harder up top. Its just that the silicone attachments it comes with a very hard to get on around the throttle body.
