valve cover question

Default valve cover question

got a pair of valve covers off of aggiefan06 & i just cleaned them up i'm trying to get the oil spout off of the passenger side vc & it just won't come off...doesn't it spin off? the o-ring is partially up on one side any ideas?

If you flip it over you will see a little locking tab keeping the spout from turning. I used a screw driver to bent the tab up while rotating it out. Or just put your purse down and rotate that sucker until it breaks... lol

i didn't want to break it because i kind of have to put i back in after i paint it...and my purse holds my tools so back off cracker!

Don't they recommend replacing oil fills with new ones, after removal?? I thought I read that in the Factory Service Manual ...

lol... If you remove the cover you should beable to see the locking tab, and possibly pry it without breaking it...

i took that hunkajunk off and screw the oil cap directly to the valve cover.
