vacuum trouble

Default vacuum trouble

Hi guys, i just finished a jeep 5.3 swap and i dont know where these two openings on the intake go?? i know they are vacuum but for what? i have tapes one off and given the other one in my evap.. but i dont know if thats right way....

The one you have taped up is closed off on mine. Doesnt go to anything. You really dont even need evap either, but for the computer's sake you'll need it, unless you deleted it in the computer already.

You just need map sensor, looks like you got that. And brake booster, and im sure you have that, lol.

Lightbulb Bit of Info Fo' you

The port you have taped off is used in the 1999-2002 trucks. The Secondary A.I.R. pump hooks up to it.

In some 99-02 trucks. Mine did not have an AIR pump, and I'm sure lots of Non-CA emission trucks didn't have it either. Just go find a big vacuum cap to put over it.

No AIR on mine either...it is my understanding that more trucks came without AIR than with it...

just went out & checked... nothing there but some funky-lookin plastic sealed-nipple-type-thing
