ok, so i have a 2006 silverado 1500 rcsb with the 4.8 and the nv3500 and im looking to do an engine transplant, but cant decide between the lq9 and the l92. so im looking for your help on which to choose. i also plan on using the t56 tranny in this swap, so dont worrie about my tranny not handling the power.
also this truck is still going to be used on the street, but see some time at the strip

LQ4-9 will be a direct swap, L92 is more involved and more costly...here's a recent thread:

I know L-92 heads fit the 6.0, and that the blocks are slight different to accomadate internal diffs.
So wouldn't a 6.0 with L-92 heads and intake be a good hybrid for his use? The cams would be the same as his trucks style, and the sensors would be the same right?
