What kinda question is that to ask? Let's line 'em up!

Under my carport... let's see who hits the fence first. Yeah, I'll let ya know when I get the new trans in. Should be really fun to drive now. Aww shyt! Gotta hold off til I get some new tires. Found this crap the morning after...

The sidewall of the tire was slit/torn... whatever... Here's a vid of the startup (not so impressive)

Trans is givin' me the blues still. Damn thing won't upshift from 2 - 3. Starts in 1st (as usual), shifts to 2nd (good so far), but when it's time for the 2-3 shift, it slips back into first & RPMS shot up past 3K during part throttle driving. What gives? No codes thrown either.

This is the thread I've been waiting for!!! As my dad is gatherin stuff/info to drop an LQ9(modded) into his 87 C10. I'm gunna have to go back and read up on the wiring situation because that's the area that he's most concerned with.

the owner of this truck stopped by earlier... it's still waiting for a decent transmission, but I've ridden in the truck and it's interesting to say the least. all in all it turned out to be a clean conversion and it looks and works great except he needs a tranny that'll hold.

i wish you were a little closer, i wouldnt mind kicking them off with ya in my c10. As I said earlier it has been a while since I have been on here, but I have a 81 c10 with a 5.3 in it. It has clicked off some 8.40's in the 1/8 on street tires. I noticed you used 98-99 manifolds on your truck, I ended up having to use the 01-02 non-egr manifolds. I wish someone would make a header for our truck though.

What's up with the tranny? He has the 4L60E right? The engine is basically a stock 5.3 with a cam? I would think the tranny would hold up unless it was already beat when he bought it. I found this site and just got done reading this... http://www.classicperform.com/tech_a...ngine-Swap.htm It helped out a little, but doesn't go into details.
