Default Under the knife

Trucks going under the knife here possibly within the next two weeks. Doing a cam swap on the truck, should I tune it that night or what would be best. It's my daily I'm about to finish up high school and graduate with a part time job so money comes every thursday evening. Not really a problem but could I drive the truck untuned easily for a while or what would be best?
