are underdrive pulleys worth the time and money? and if they are, who makes good quality pulleys for a 2001 silv 4.8?

I think they are worthwhile, if you can find them used. New they are like $250! I got mine used on here for $180 shipped.

Got Some Asp Pullyes Underdrive And Alt. Volts Droped To About 12v As Soon As It Revs Its Normal. I Dont Run A Big *** Stereo So I Dont Worry. Engine Felt Lighter Better Throttle Response. Major Gains No. Less Work On The Engine Yes.

So if i were to have a stereo system that needs alot of juice to keep it goin then underdrive pulleys wouldnt be what i want?

Just run the crank pulley, it will be fine..

Get the overdrive pulley for the alt. It's smaller so in return it'll spin it faster. This is what I have and I'm pushing about 800 to 1000watts. No probs here.

My brother installed the ASP UD pulley on his 99' GMC. Gave the truck better throttle response. I think its worth it.
