Default Uncoated pacesetter pics

I would like to see pictures of uncoated pacesetters after a while of being installed. I'm debating sending mine to jet hot after i'm done welding on them. The only reason i didn't order the coated in the first place was i didn't want to grind and weld on my freshly coated headers.
So post up if you have pics of uncoated headers.
Thanks

what i'm worried about the most is the paint. Does it just flake off?

They don't look too bad.
Where are you getting them coated at?
anywhere semi-local?

I will get pics of mine. I put them on a year and three months ago. The initial paint they came with burned off in ten minutes. I used a spray can of high temp black on them the first day, and I just touched up a couple spots the other day. The only spots that the paint was worn was the collector part under the truck. The high temp paint works pretty good, but I wish I would have paid the little extra and got the coated ones. If you have the funds, I would get them coated, they look better IMO. Mine havent rusted and I drive the truck just about everyday rain or shine.

I was kind of thinking about getting painted ones to weld v bands onto the headers and y and weld the y together and then have it all coated but Id have a **** ton into them by then I think.

I'd recommend getting them coated for a number of reasons...besides warding off rust, the coating will help keep heat in which will aid in O2 sensor performance and lessen the chances of getting a check engine light from "O2 heater performance insufficient". It will also help keep underhood temps lower.

Id recommend just going with the LPP's better design and cheaper than buying the mild steel ones and having them coated.. Plus the LPP's are stainless.
