Definately not true. From what I hear there are plenty of request for sponsorship that get turned down by the admins for whatever reason. There of course have been a few very unfortunate incidents and in those cases sponsors were dropped and the admins have did what they can to help members out with information.

Im sure this is true, just irritates me to see UPD a sponsor (which they probably are). There was a thread made complaining about these cold air kits a while back in the sponsor feedback, and its seems like it dosent really matter. Probably be a different situation of this kit was in the fbody market, but as long as its the truck guys.... they can live with it.

I just cant believe I was a newb a bought it for nearly 300 bucks. What a waste.

Oh yea, no offense to you XLR8,

upd customer service sucks. took weeks to get my product shipped, and they do not answer or return phone calls. I'll sign a petition to have them removed as a sponsor.

Their customer service sucks rancid *******!! My intake tube fell apart. I emailed them on several ocassions. They once offered to replace my tube.... Im not gonna waste my time with those guys. But I will offer this sentence of endearment to you all. DO NOT BUY A UPD INTAKE. EVER! Take it from those who have and have been burned.

They should not be allowed to be a sponsor anymore when they sell products that fall apart and practice shitty customer service. Just my 2 cents.

On another note. The black tube falls apart too. Trust me.

Is there a mod that i can do to bring more air into the tube?? All my friends are used to the K&N and are always telling me to remove the headlight, but since it is screwed to the stock air-intake box, removing the headlight would be pointless. I noticed that the stock air-box became loose after i installed the UPD and the holes are small. What do you guys suggest i should do???

Thanks

You could drill one large hole or several small holes in the lower intake box on the side that is on the same side as the to the headlight. Then you could remove your headlight at the track and would have almost the same effect as what your friends get with the K&N cai.
