i found a set of brand new thorley tri y long tubes for $200 shipped, should i buy them? how much power will they pick up over gibson shorties?

Wow, $200 is a great price! Ive never had any shorties, but from reading different posts I think that most will suggest you get them. If anything just because the price is great!

They're excellent headers. Tri-Y headers are optomized for mid-range torque through about 5,000 RPM's. I love mine. See the pictures on my web site.
