I'm thinking about putting a turbo on 2003 4.8 GMC. I found a turbo kit on ebay for the LS1 but it says it can fit other applications with modification. Now besides a cam to get more out of it, what other mods do i need to do get this thing going, how much boost can i put out with it before the engine goes BOOM? I know i'd need to get the pcm reprogrammed is there anyone on here that can do it for cheap? the kit i found has everything, turbo, turbo manifold (for engine), intercooler, piping, the works. So any information would greatly be appreciated.

the statement with modifications is the kicker. The set up was build for what type of ls1 fbody? if it wasnot built for the truck you could be buying the kit for the turbo and gate. get as much info from them as possible.

the guy had pics of the kit on the engine. it had the intercooler, exhaust turbo manifold, and piping. i'll have to ask the guy more ?s about it.
