Yeah my fans are controlled by the chrome exhaust bearings... It is SUPER DUPER FAN SETUP.....lol Well i would be interested, but i think a single 76 would be cool or 2 little t56's so it would spool really quick...Just a thought

I just have the standard exhaust bearing fan controller. I couldn't afford the chrome one.

Sounds like an interesting project. Keep us updated if you do anything about it.

A single t-60 would be OK for most people's goals and probably spool quick even on a 4.8.

I was thinking about doing a turbo setup for my truck, but figured a nice 422 would be good enough for what I wanted plus there were no turbo kits available **hint** .

Hmmm....I wonder what I could do with a t-76 on the 422,(looks in wallet) Oh well, maybe next year.

That 422 is a waist of money as far as i'm concerned. The stroker kit alone without the block and machine work is 4000. Then computer programming, trans to hold it, **** your talking alot of money...

Oh well, that's what I wanted to do so I did it but, your entitled to your opinion.

I just got tired of F&*king with the procharger on my SS and said that if I can reach my goals N/A thats what I would do. I went with an iron block so I saved a little money and possible headache there.

That turbo setup is probably gonna require computer programming and trans. work also so that point is kinda

Why don't you just stick with N2O? That's the cheapest way to make power.

i started a topic like this a few weeks ago. i love turbos, all that boost . how much boost could our moters handel and what kind of traction would it get. one large turbo, once it spooled up, would break the tires lose, and you would never get the traction back, two small turbos would spool quicker, yet they dont make as much power so you would probly do better traction wise. good luck if you plan to do it, and let me know.

Yes computer upgrade I agree, but tranny...I don't think so. It would only be there when you hammer it...not all the time. Thus you keep your reliability. There are many ways to do it...NO DOUBT, like i said the NOS worked well, to bad i didn't have a stall, i think it would have gone low 12's all day. But filling that bottle sux and when you run out is when you always get therace you want... I was going throught 4-5 bottles a weekend...Glad i got it so cheap...lol

Hyde - I think you just need to agree with me on the trans. issue.

Ok, so you say it's only a problem when you hammer on the truck. Well, if you have a turbo setup putting out ~450+rwhp how many time do you think its gonna take before the trans. gives up. I was running low boost in my SS making about 400rwhp and let me tell you it didn't take long to wear that trans. out, even though it only saw the power when I hammered it.

Turbos = torque = blown automatic trans.

You know everytime you got in your truck it would be "Hammer time".
