Default Turbo Questions

After swapping in the LQ9, Ive been throwing around the idea of going FI for 07 and am thinking about going with a turbo set up . Is there any one running a turbo set up on an LQ9?
-How will the cam in my sig handle a turbo at around 7lbs of boost?
-Will I have to loose / modify my pacesetter headers-ORY?

I did a little research and read that a reverse split cam is better, but really dont want to swap cams. I was also thinking about swapping over to an ls6 style intake and was wondering if that would complicate the install if I purchased a rear mount STS that is designed for the trucks.

-Thanks in Advance

I will soon have my sts kit on and since you live in Orlando, I would be willing to meet you half way if you want a ride in the truck once it gets tuned. I have a lot of things going against me for an sts kit, like the longtubes and the cam Im running, but Im gonna throw the kit on anyway and see how it works before I go making any huge changes. Who knows it could be a good setup. i dont think anyone on here knows everything there is to know so I will test it out.

Your LTs will work fine. When I swapped mine for stock manifolds there was a difference in spool time, but it was'nt huge. Wrap the ORY pipe and it will work great. Your cam should work well with the kit. Again its not ideal, but for the cost and expense of a cam swap, the one you have will work fine. The stock intake manifold will work well also. Unless you are planning on an all out effort the ls6 will not make much of a difference.

Thanks, I will be looking more into this. Ruffrider, I know your sig says 5.3, is that what you are running? It would be great to see a truck with an STS kit in person and see what a difference it makes. Let me know when you get everything worked out, or if you need a hand with anything
