Default Turbo and cam questions

Planning on the truck. Its tax season

I know what the search button is, but last time I checked, I didnt find anything.

The plan for my truck is a Twin Turbo on the 5.3 with a tiny bit of boost (~5lbs), Trailblazer I6 converter, custom ground turbo cam, heads, and exhaust.

I want a really fast spool time, so I was figuring on using two 47mm turbos, but need to know about hot and cold side sizing. Stall will be about 2600, so 2500-2750 is optimal for boost to set in, to me. Are these turbos too small? I dont need to rebuild Parish's truck, I just want a nice addition to mine.

Im planning on running a 207/204, .555/.555 116 or 118lsa cam, so I still have a little low end grunt, but it doesnt bleed off boost.

The exhaust would be a custom fab job by me. 3" downpipes merged into a 4" single, out the back corner with a 4-5" tip.

Ported/Polished 5.3 Heads are what is going to be on it, maybe even a ported intake.

I dont want driveline snapping power, but I dont want the lag of a medium sized single turbo. I cruise normally right under 2k, so it will keep me out of boost while cruising too.

any help is appreciated. THanks!

I think for the cost of going to twins you better be looking for some much more serious numbers than that. Sounds to me like you should go with a TVS setup instead of a turbo.

Have you been for a ride in a Maggie truck? Sounds like exactly what you are looking for.

Why would you want to speed that much money on a project to only run 5 psi of boost? A single T60 with a .68 A/R turbine in a front mount set would give your the near instant boost you are looking for. It was almost Radix like boost on my 4.8.

So, a single t60 is just as good?
I want the option of building the hell out of it down the road a little bit, which was why I wanted twins.
Im trying to stay out of boost while cruising, but yet be able to have instant boost once i touch the gas.

I am set on Turbo (s), I like the sound better, and I can honestly do it cheaper than a maggie or any other s/c.
I can do all my own work, Ive got the stuff to do it with is the main reason for wanting to go this route. Im not looking to spend over $2500-3000 by doign it myself.
The only thing I will be getting done elsewhere is a dyno tune.

Also, are the cam specs favorable for what I am wanting, along with the I6 verter?

There's no way you can build a twin turbo setup for under $3000 for everything unless you use crappy chinese parts. I've got some smoking deals on my turbo setup and I'll have about $3000 into mine and it's just a single front mount.

We'll see, Ill be keeping all my invoices to check. So far, it looks do-able. Especially having friends at any kind of automotive shop in town to do anything I might not be able to do in the garage.
