Default Tuning question...

Newbie to the site here...currently I have an '02 reg cab with exhaust & cutout, k&n fipk, asp crank pulley, hppIII, and a 160 deg thermo...I'm itching to break into the 14s and am interested in spending $500-1000 for my next mod but not sure what to do next...any suggestions? Also, I've heard alot about the Nelson tuning and am considering ditching the hpp3 to go with Nelson...would this be a good idea? Thanks (sorry for the long post)

Yank 3000 will probably get you into the 14s,a set of long tube headers would be nice too.Given the choice of the two,get the converter.

A TT3000 would be nice...i've considered either going with a converter, gears and a posi, or saving up a few extra $ and getting some FLP long tubes

What does an install for a new converter usually run?

If you don't have posi I would go with gears and a posi first, because you won't have any traction using a Yank without a posi.ASM headers are nice to and don't cost as much as the FLPs.

As for tuning, have you gotten your truck dynoed with a/f? Have you logged any passes with it, to see what spark, ltrims, ect are? That would give us a good idea if you need more tuning and how power laying on the table As other mentioned, the Yank will wake the truck up!

Talking

darn skippy it is. remember a custom tune is with edit. and there is no replacement for that. a custom tune is way better.
