I know what you mean I cant stand having mine idle over 700 thats why I have problems in parking lots oh well, its a price Im willing to pay. Im glad the new cam worked out well for ya.

Update on the new cam...

Everything is looking good. Happy to see that there are no bad idle issues.

Also very happy to see that I can run 8.5 to 9 psi at 11.9-12.2 AFR with 17 degrees of timing. That is pretty kick *** right there.

I'm really looking forward to running the truck again this Friday. I just hope the weather holds out for me because this truck just might make it into the 13's.

Yeah Yeah... LOL

I hope that my post has brought a new issue up for some people and might help them make a better choice whether it be the GT 2/3 or cam "l-m-n-o-p".

I had never considered that there might be issues because, honestly, who thinks about cumulative drag and the issues it can cause? Well, at least 500 people now... LOL

just curious how much boost were you able to get out of old cam and how many degrees overlap did it have, also how much overlap is in the new one

It definitely a good cam for NA and was definitely close but still okay for FI... with the exception of combos with high drag as mentioned earlier.

Sometimes you gotta experiment to find out where the edge is

i agree with you. you don't just go fast, you have to learn what works and what don't often by trying it out first.
