? Tundra times

Just one thing about all this guys, the tundra isn't a full size truck, at least in my mind it isn't. It doesn't have the wind resistance of a full sized front end pushing air out of the way and it's smaller all the way around. Really it should be compared to a dakota since they're about the same size.

i disagree puff,
i'd say the s10/sonoma, dakota, tacoma, the little nissan trucks, and the ford rangers are on the same page. noting that the only one with a v8 option is the dakota.
The Tundra looks much bigger than the rest of the little trucks.
I read the tunda is rated at 245 hp / and 3 something torque. it may be designed differently, (aerodynamics) my opinion is as long as you have anything stock height, you will encounter wind resistance.

The Tundra is slow compaired to the 5.3 chevy.I have raced at least 4 or 5 of them theres no compition;Even with a super charger they will probably only run high 14's or low 15's.I have seen 2 at the track run 16.8,and 17.1 motor trend shows them running a 16.9 1/4 then ad a power adder s\c this would = at the best a high 14, or low 15 second 1/4 if they get traction; That puts them right in the same range as a stock Exc Chevy. So truck for truck the chevy is faster. So smoke that Tundra!

The only time I have seen a Tundra on a track was at Penwell near Odessa TX, I think it was last spring. Anyway I remember him racing against a F150 ext-cab three or four runs and they were both running low-to-mid 17's.

youll smoke him
im runnin 10.0s spinnign for ever on 235s
and cant break into 9s...
i think a better set of tires will help that out
and racing before the imports fly through the water box....

Is yours a stock 5.3? If not what have you done to it?
I used cooper cobra radial gt's on my S10 and they hooked pretty good for a street tire. Just had to find the sweet spot on the rpm to keep them from spinning.
