Default ? Tundra times

I was wondering if anyone had raced any Tundras. Friend says he will smoke my 5.3 standard cab 2000. I don't think so but I thought I would ask before I went Shooting my mouth off.

By the way. I heard about LS1tech from a friend and thought I would check it out. Said you had alot of info. Going to be doing some mods the the truck so I'll be asking for more info later.

I have ran a Tundra before and it was not close. I gave him the move and passed him like he was stopped. I have a few mods, but a stock 5.3L should have no probs with a stock Tundra. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I don't think the Toyota has a S/C, but the Nissan does. It runs a whopping 16.8 with that. A Tundra out running one of our trucks, stock on stock, no way.

In fact, Trucktends just ran a Toyota Tacoma S-Runner S/C and it ran a 14.69 I think. My friend has one of these and it is a quick little truck. As for the V8's, I think they have proto type S/C's, but they are not on the market yet. Kent.

I've test driven two of them and the last one had big power, a lot more than my 5.3 has. Here's a link to their Ivan Stewart edition tundra with the trd supercharger. http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/2002...roadtest1.html and I'm sure it hauls butt. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Thanks for the info guys. He has already run his truck in an 1/8 mile and it ran 10.80. My S10 was faster than that. I had it running 10.0 spinning. If you have any 1/8 mile times on you stock 5.3's let me know. In a few weeks I'm going to run mine at a 1/4 mile track and see what it does. I ran it down the street with one of those electronic thing you put on the windshield and it gave me a 15.2 in a 1/4. Don't know how accurate they are. I guess I'll see when I get to the track.
