I currently have dual 2 3/4 into the muffler ( Magnaflow 22x whatever) Muffler has a built in x pipe. And I have dual 2.5 out of the muffler. It is not loud enough for me. I love the sound and flow of the magnaflow but I want it to be louder. Anyone got some ideas. I thought of 2 mufflers side by side, not sure if I would want a x pipe if I did that or not. Being that I am now supercharged not sure what would be better. I would love to see magnaflow make a true dual setup thought.

Well if its truly going to be a bolt on item I think emissions/inspection legality would be near the top of the list. True duals would be a perfect addition to most every pickup even near stock ones. A nice 2.5 inch stainless true dual setup that had some sort of tailpipes exiting out back (either behind the rear tires or out under the tail gate) would be perfect. Just my opinion.

As for the kit, sounds like an awesome idea!

Thanks for the responses ... keep them coming.

We are of course considering all necessary emissions requirements and noise level standards for this build.

That means:
1.) NO replacement of manifolds or cats.
2.) Post cat installation may require some cutting.
3.) After axle exit is prefered but turn downs before the axle are still under consideration.

Other considerations:
1.) Single muffler systems would reduce net cost by $50-100 to the end buyer over a dual muffler without effecting performance or noise.
2.) Integrated internal X-pipe in muffler makes for easier installation and separate allows for optimal placement.
3.) Pipe diameter will more liekyl than not, be dual 2.5" easily support 425-450 RWHP with our mufflers to compliment.

Food for thought.

Richard

lets even make it a convertable exhaust, with 3 options for exit, 1. dual side exit before tires, 2. dual side exit after tires, and 3. dual rear exit.

Ok here's the deal...

What do you all want from a true dual?
1.) Single large muffler or Dual smaller mufflers?
2.) MagnaFlow True-X pipe?
3.) Dumps, Exit rear - under the bumper, Exit rear - behind the tires?

I am going to run this by a few of the mods to see how we can handle this and not upset our Site Sponsorship. We at MagnaFlow may just use this input to bring a product to market which should be no problem; however, if we put together a GP I will have to try and work through the LS1tech store or a authorized vendor.

Lets here some comments. As soon as i see some responses I can start to compile pricing.

POST AWAY .. Here's your chance to get something not yet available anywhere else.

Good Idea! I was just thinking of getting rid of my single in/dual out Flow.

I'd like dual small mufflers/ true X pipe/ and exit tucked under the bumper.

Do you need another guinea pig again Richard?
Anyway, I would have to say...
1) Single large muffler to reduce cost.
2) External x-pipe.
3) Dumped.

Tiburon asked a question I would also like to hear answered which was if Magnaflow has considered making headers.

Even if its 2.5" pipe, this sounds good!
