Did you ever get the tuning done?
I think I have the odd Segment 1 ID figured out. I also have someone else needing the same update as you for a 4L80E into an 03 truck.
I need to flash an 03 PCM and make sure I have it right.

Time for an update ....
I didn't get to do to much this weekend since I got engaged Friday night ...
We went out with what will be my bro and 2 sis in laws this weekend. Today though ... we went out to my buds house where my truck is. We started hacking and whacking on the crossmember but it feels like we got no where. We do have a plan together, and we are headed in the right direction. I guess we did make a little progress, but it sure doesn't feel like it. I found out though I'm going to have to get the driveshaft lengthened about an inch.
This swap damn sure better be worth it ..... It's starting to get a little old working on the truck for the same thing for whats being drawn out for a month it seems like.
No pics at this time ... maybe Wednesday night though.

Congrats on the engagement! Hope things work out for you with that swap you have going also. Looking forward to picking your brain at Thunder Shootout if you can make it. I found a decently priced 4L80E and would like to be able to see first hand what it looks like to get a better understanding of what's involved. Good luck. I know how frustrating it can get. Last year my truck was down for 8 months trying to get my 422 done. Now I'm going on 2 months waiting on another set of heads. Again, good luck.

Thanks! I'm excited about it in my own way I guess.
It's been coming for a while and everyone knew it, but they were still surprised, and she was nothing more than shocked!
Anyways ... It's been a real pain in the *** for sure. I didn't think it would be this difficult. A lot of it has to do with the lack of good tools and a lack of fab skills.
I'll be taking my driveshaft BACK to the criveshaft place this week to get it lengthened by about an inch. Maybe next weekend ...
