truck will not start

Default truck will not start

I have a 02 silverado,and i have power,lights,radio,etc.
But it will not start not even turn over.
Anyone ever had this problem.

is it the igniton,starter, ground

tow truck is on its way to take it to the dealer

My security acted up too. The wires from the ignition switch, which checks the key for authenticity and the switch both got changed. Mine would start and then quit just like it had no fuel.

If the engine will NOT turn over then it's NOT the SECURITY system because that system only disables the FUEL PUMP. It does NOT shut down the starter motor. It the engine won't crank you have to troulbeshoot the starter system. If that's OK then you put a wrench on the harmonic balancer bolt to see if you can spin the motor over by hand to make sure your engine is not seized. Those two things alone should keep you busy for a while.

I had a 91 z28 that did the same thing. the secuirty light would flash but the car would do nothing at all. no starter no nothing

The positive terminal on stock AC Delco batteries tend to go to hell. Causing these symtoms. I know mine did.

Starter wire was loose.
