I love my TCI.. It took me about 2 minutes to get used to it.. You can get them for a good price and mine has been good to me so far.. Ive got a little shudder when it goes into over drive at 50 but i ordered some stuff to take care of that thanks to this forum.. I say go with TCI unless you plan to tow a lot then maybe the yank.. The stall is hands down the best mod ive done to my truck..

How much did you pay for your stall and what other stuff did you order for the stall?

I think I am SLOWER 0-60 with a stall than without. First gear is completely USELESS! Trust me. I am trying to save you frustration. Buy an Eaton posi first..... That stall will only be good for a burnout if you don't. Trust those who know first hand!

I run 0-60 in 7.4 seconds with all of my mods and an open differential. I think without the stall and all my other mods I'ld be at least half a second faster.

Stall = waste of money without traction.

derek do you have the g80 rear from gm?
Im still using it and my stall, shift kit, sevos and tune knocked over 2 secs off my 0 to 60!!! Obviously you cant just mash the gas and hope to go somewhere you have to baby it out of the hole till about 25. the g80 wont lock under 20 or with alot of wheel spin
just some thoughts

i agree on the stall. with the HPP3 it's easy to gain close to that kind of number especially on a 4.8 without even using the power program. getting the shift point up closer to where they should be is a gain in itself. the 4.8 surely likes to rev and the stock 99 shift points were awfull. that alone was likely .3 or so of the gain.
