Default truck keeps blowing out donut gaskets

I am on my 3rd set in 86k miles. I have tried all types and they will last about 20k or so. Do any of you have any clue why. I let a shop put the first two sets in and then i did it the last time. I know they were put in straight. They are burnt out.

Are your pipes loose? Or have bad hangers? Motor mounts good?

Pull the potatoe out. Sorry couldn't resist. could there be a restriction in there though? Are you tightening it evenly?

after i put on my headers i kept going through those like nothing. not sure if u can do this with the stock exhaust manifolds (cant remember if you put on new headers yet or not) but just get the metal exhaust gaskets for both sides. they come with a metal gasket from the factory on the passenger side (i believe the passenger side).

when i was working at oriellys over the summer i looked it up in the gasket book and just ordered 2 of the passenger side gaskets they called for for our trucks and havent had a problem since. not sure how much they were but under 5 bucks for both i'm sure.

now if you're blowing those metal gaskets already then daammmnnnn

I had the same issue on my header collectors. I went copper. No more burnt gaskets. Now if I could only keep the bolts from backing out...

The stock manifolds are still on. Hell I got a few things i have bought and never put on. I have a gauge cluster and gauges, pulleys, and headers sitting in the garage. I am going to sell the headers since they are shorties. Anyone got a set of long tubes for sell?
