I broke two rods in three place shaddered 2 pistons and put a whole in the side of the block it even put a few small marks on my cam so it looks like it is time for the 408 after all.

what would be the best cam for the 408 stroker. i am going with the eagle kit.

I would be interested to know what caused this? Did your timing chain slip, From what it sounds, I mean its not like you were running the hell outa it pulling outta your driveway- did you bump the nitrous?.

no nitrous was off i say it was from all of the hotrodding that it had been in before in the prior days the pistons had some melted spot on them from the nitrous.

Check my sig IMO thats what you need you are lighter than me you could even go with the T-Rex cam that is a bit bigger. Im not too worried about streetability since I will be getting a better in Feb. so Ill just have to deal with the gas sucker till then.

so do you think this cam would be ok with nos or FI and 8.7to 1 compression or should i get the higher compression setup. how much boost and nos can the eagle 408 kit hold with stock heads or even dart heads.

In order to handle alot of boost first of all you need arp head studs second some sce titan head gaskets are the best IMO and good ****. There are some f-body guys running 12-15 psi of boost then there are guys spraying 250 shots on them and having good luck. Im not sure about the boost/nitrou combo though.
