Default Trick Flow Timing Chain Damper

So I got my lm7 back from the machine shop. Installed the cam last night and went to install the ls2 timing chain. Installed the timing chain damper per trick flows instructions, but the chain rests and is slightly tight on one side of the damper but not the other. While looking at the alignment it looks like either the damper bracket is machines wrong, or the damper is. Anyone else running these? What does the spacing look between the chain and damper on yours? I’m at work now but I’ll post some pics of the chain clearance later.

I just got one my self but haven't done the cam swap yet. Be curious to see the pictures of the issue though.

so went home during lunch. And was like, I wonder if I flip it around if that will fix the issue. Sure enough, it fixed the issue. The damper will fit on either way, but is only correct one way.

Resting and tight on drivers side.

Clearance on passenger side

Took those pics before I switch the damper around. It now has clearance on both sides.

Thanks for posting up! I have the same Trick Flow TFS-K30675600 kit and I am sure other will find this helpful.

I see the slight difference in the dampener. I was not aware it was offset to 1 side and needs to be clocked correctly.

I went back and re-read the directions and it makes no mention of this.

no problem!! this could def cause big problems if not installed right, thats for sure. i would also recommend buying 3 new bolts to replace the blue bracket bolts that are provided. they strip out very easily before hitting the torque setting. 2 of the 3 provided bolts stripped out at around 10-11ft lbs, and the spec is 15-18ft lbs. i just went up to true value/ace and got some. worked like a charm.
