Default timing chain slack

when i installed my cam i noticed there seemed to be a lot of slack in it. are there any belt drives, quiet gear drives or better chains available for our engines?

i have read in a nother forum that they replaced the stock one and the after market one was almost as loose. they were saying that gm makes the cam campensate for this. but to answer your question i am building a 5.3 and i am putting a slp double roller shain on it (about 160$) they also have a clowes chain but it is a single chain like the stock one i belive it is around the same price as the bouble roller. the last option i was given was a indy car timing chain. sounds cool and it is suppost to be a big beefy chain but cost (about 300$). i wanted a gear drive but was told there is not one for us and they are also loud. in my case i figured two is better than one and it was a diecent price. when searching you normily have to look under the f-body sections.
