Default Transfer case oil?

well my drive shaft is gunna be here tomorrow. all i gotta do is throw it in and fill the t-case oil i was jw what oil you guys were running.... ? thanks

If it's an AutoTrac transfer case, use AutoTrac fluid.

idk how to tell? and i dont have the owners manual. plus its a diffrent tranny and t-case? i been looking ive found mix answers so id figure id ask? i can just go to the dealership i sapose and get there ****?

i believe it is AutoTrak tho? its push button, and has 2wd, 4 hi, 4 low, and auto 4x4?

if the dash shows the Auto 4wd then you have the auto trak case.. so you need

4WD Auto T-Case Auto-Trac2 #88900402
its the pretty blue fluid

You can tell which transfer case it is by looking at the RPO code list. That code list tells you almost everything about the truck, down to stuff like interior color. Your transfer case should be code NP8.

He said its a different tranny and transfer case. Go under the truck and look for a round metal tag on the transfer case, if should have the model transfer case stamped into the tag.
