Trans Question

On the 2500 HD's, there is the ZF 6 spd. manual available. It is listed as having a "creaper" gear. Is this in place of the normal 1st gear, or lower than the normal 1st gear, with the normal 5th gear as the only overdirve. Or are there 2 overdrives as in the F-cars?
I'm going to order an '03 with the 8.1L with the 6spd. Extended cab/short box. 2wd.
Thanks,
Roger <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

i can give you part of your answer, the cars do have two overdrives, 5th is something like .7 and 6th is .5 now that is a serious overdrive.
can't tell you for sure on the truck but if it is called a creeper gear that sounds alot like a granny low to me and that is nothing like a normal 1st gear, it is way lower and something you would only use if you had to pull stumps out or something.
eidt, opps i just read your post again and you all ready knew about the cars trannys.
