Go with a shift kit. You can also tweak the pressure regulator next time you do a fluid change. With the pan off there is a solinoid closest to the converter with a allen head bolt. Turn it clockwise a quarter turn.

OK .. I did some loggin .. I'm getting throttle pulls for 1 count out of the 1-2 shift and up to -10* timing after the shift while second is picking up the slack. The nose dive I was feeling is TQM at part throttle pulling timing for just over a second on the 2-3 shift.

Man .. I wish EDIT would work for my truck like it should!
