Default Tranny options--this is the last time, I promise

Here's all the options that I can think of that will hold up in our trucks:

1) FLP 4L65E
2) T56
3) built 4L80E

What about a 4L60E with the KDS "Torquenstein" package? My dad can rebuild the tranny for me. Think it would be enough?

http://www.kdsperformance.com/torepa4lls1o.html

Every time I talk to another friend, I get another opinion as to why I should run one and shouldn't run the other. I'm getting more and more confused by the minute.

HELP!!!!!!

Option 4: Buy a GMPP 4L65E, with its 3 year 50K mile warranty. If it breaks, pull it and have them fix / replace it under warranty. Just install a shift it in it for a little extra punch.

Well tell me how far you are planning to push your truck?

Remember also... it's not always the internals that break. The BUILDER has a lot to do with it. Endplay and the clearances between the clutch packs play a big role than most think. Slopply builds kill trannies almost as fast as weak parts...

HitMan ... wtf have u been? Long time no see.

Anyways .. back on topic .. I'd go with the FLP if you plan on getting extreme with your truck. If not that, then a 80e.

Well take everything you can imagine that can go wrong in life...losing your job by blackmail, getting behind on finances due to loaning others money, having the gal you love walk out on you after two years of friendship then love, forced to sell you house, dealing with college nonsense, etc.

That's what pretty much happened to me these last 8 weeks. I just crawled into a hole and that was that. I've lost my faith in pretty much everything I used to hold true to me, it's amazing to me that everything you can work your *** off for can just go away so fast. I am pretty much where I don't care about anything anymore or myself, if **** happens for a reason then I haven't the slightest idea why this turn of events happened to me. People I used to trust are fake, there are no women out there worth my time anymore (this really fucked me up, I've been hurt before and am not gonna go through this again as I remember now how bad it is), everything and everyone now gets analyzed prior to me spending time there.

Sooooooooo... the 4L80E is a good swap but costly if you don't plan to run the truck to max effort.

HitMan .. I hate to hear about all that. It sucks loosing your job, I know all about that one. Not so sure on the rest, but it sounds like you've had a rough time lately. Hate to hear about it. I'm sure things are bound to start lookin up before long.

I've been a professional job seeker employed by the state of TX for almost a year now. The pay sucks donkey *****, but the hours are good.

I've been wonderin where you been. SOmetimes I with I could just leave for a while, but I would have a trail of people followig me and nagging me about **** too.

Just so I'm not hijacking ... I'd still stick with the FLP tranny.
