tranny apears to be toast, what do you guys think?

B and M (http://www.bmracing.com/) has some neat items for the 4L60E, I personally rebuilt a 700R4 about 3 years ago and used a B&M master rebuild with shift kit, took some time but worked really well behind a 396 in my Camaro. For a 2k rebuild you should be able to get the alto clutches and all parts cryo. treated and also a good band. Get the upgraded servo and you should be good to go.

I would also look into getting TM removed and also get Ed Wright to firm up your shifts if you get him to do the computer work....that way the transmition itself doesn't have to be adjusted as much to get your shifts where you want them.
