Trailer Brake controller help!
#1
Ok, Powell told me about a plug under the dash or kick panel for the brake controller, which one is it? All the ones I see are being used from the looks of it. Details or a pic would be nice, but any help would be appreciated. I need to get the brakes working this weekend so I can tow back my newest toy

Here are the pics. It's in the fuse panel, drivers side.
1st shot is with the fuse cover on. 2nd shot is with it off, and a circle around the out of focus plug for the trailer brake harness.
As I said, this is for my 04, if yours is a different year, it may be a different setup.

There should be a pig tail that came with your truck in the glove box along with a 40 amp Maxi fuse. The pig tail will wire to your brake controller and plugin under the dash on the left side in a panel with one plastic nut I believe that holds a plastic cover over the wiring panel. There is only one spot on the panel that the plug will actually go into even though it looks like there are a couple, they are pinned different. Then you will have to put the 40 Amp Maxi fuse in the second slot from the front in the fuse panel under the hood. This is all from memory, so you might want to check you manual to be sure, but I'm pretty sure that's how it goes. If you don't have the pigtail in you glove box, you can get it from your dealer, or most trailering places.
