i would imagine the bolt pattern would be different being from 2 different motors, but since the motors are backed by the same tranny i could be wrong. i don't know a solid reason the I6 converter wont work but that's what i assume. I was told over the phone by a service manager at a local dealership, and by a represenative of a local performance shop that the I6 version wont work, but the TRAIL BLAZER 5.3 converter would work.

I dont know guys but PatrickG seems to say it will work.
The 2002-2003 Trailblazer/Envoy/Bravada vehicles with 4.2L motors have a nice converter that is a direct bolt-in (no modifications at all). Stalls 2400 behind a 4.8, 2600 behind a 5.3 and 2800 behind a 6.0L. Nice converter. Efficient. Good clutch. Just haven't found any killer prices on them from dealers though. Part# 24215557

Well I placed my order with a friend for 24215557. Don't know when I'll get it or for exactly how much -- at least wholesale hopefully less. I will probably install it on 12/13.
I will keep you posted on the results.

Which is it? I would imagine it would work since the tranny is the same (4L60E)
But what do I know?
