Default Traction assist or no?

Traction assist or no?

Have we tried it at the track? I know it "should" slow us down, but has anyone tried it to find out?

John-
Not very many of the trucks have the traction assist option. I do have it however and it is a night and day difference with how it drives. Although I don't have any times to show results of each. My truck also hooks very well at the track and I can drive the truck good enough not to have to worry about the traction assist as I am sure you and many others can also.

What about on the street? does the truck run a bit better with a "little" tire spin?

It seems to be a touch quicker with the traction assist off.

Any one else?

Spinning isnt really the issue. The traction assist will reduce power to the wheels if you spin... now maybe a little spin would help get the truck in its power band. One thing for sure. Cutting power can't help racing IMO.

My truck does a lot better without the assist on. I don't spin much to start with. Other than that its kinda like the 6 speed f-bodies...Its better to spin just a little than to bog down the motor.
