Default Tracking And Fixing Knock

Ive had this knock consistantly since Ive been using atap so I assume since Ive had the hypertech tuning. Usually its pretty small .. 2deg but I do get knock up to 8deg. I dont know much about knock, but it seems odd to me that my knock always starts right when shifting into 2nd (48.5mph). It will jump up to 8deg and then usually slope down untill either I let off or it goes away. Ive tried using 87 , 89 , and 91 octane and all have basically the same results.

I have a PCM from a stock 6.0 that Ive put in a few times to see what would happen. Basically I had mostly no knock but on WOT runs I would get ~2deg and it would be at the 1-2 shift just like im getting now.

Recently Ive done the pcv catcan and replaced my plugs with NGK TR55's.

Im goin to try 100 octane gas to see if that helps ... but then what after that?
Fuel filter? Clean/Check the knock sensor? What else should I check?

Knock Log #2 - 8deg @ shift
Knock Log #3 - 3deg @ shift

WOT at the bottom of a gear is a high load situation, if that isnt it, then its false knock.

Did you run it on 100 yet and have it still knock?

It ran good on sunday, kept up with me through 1st gear, wonder what I'd run with some weight reduction...

BTW, what kinda hemi was it you ran? CC or RC?

Not yet, but Im looking for a fix not a band-aid ... ( I think some people have told me knock is common under high load but 8deg seems high )

Im not goin to fill with 100 octane everyday... but I will soon to see if my problem is from runing rich ~11.8-12

Im hoping for a fix to this... there are a few things I need to go thru to work this out, my main concern is to know that this is abnormal ....

The Hemi was a crewcab with 4 people ... heavy pig
