Does anyone know the formula for figuring hp from what I rn at the track.

Trucks are tough to figure out. Those Calcs are usually made for cars with a different frontal area and cd. They also don't take 4wd into account for those of us who run 4wd through the 1/4mile.

www.smokemup.com is pretty accurate when using trap speed, even for our trucks. I use that to check my dyno and track results all the time. You do need an accurate weight though.....

This is not too far off my last run on the dynojet:

You Entered:
Vehicle Weight - 7030 (lbs)
Trap Speed - 115.69 (mph)
Drivetrain Loss - 20 (%)

Results:
Rear Wheel HP - 739.1
Crankshaft HP - 923.9
Power to Weight (rwhp) - 9.5 (lower is better)
Power to Weight (crank hp) - 7.6 (lower is better)

I guess thats why they dont do dyno pulls in first gear. Who knows?
