Default TR6's question

I ordered some TR6's from summit and they sent me TR6 V-power's. The middle electrode is v-shaped instead of flat.

Are all TR6's V-power, or is there a regular type too?

Anyone running these with boost?

When I ran a 175 shot of nitrous (nitrous is boost in a bottle) I used those plugs. I think I had them gapped around .035". I think they are around a single heat range cooler than OE. I think the hi-po NGK's are all the V groove on that electrode. I tossed in some TR-55's in the Z and they were V's I think the UR44's in the Ford are also.

Cool, thanks guys

The converter makes it feel like a whole new truck. Its the only way to go with the ATI.

i run those plugs too, they make it idle quite abit rougher but other than that they seem to work well.

run away from the NGK TR's if you are spraying or s/c ing. try some R5671A-6's or 7's if you can find them. they are a gasketed NGK V-power racing plug and have a much thicker ground strap that won't burn off under boost/juice and are gapped around 28 out of the box. they can be a bit cold for some people though.

just what my motor guy told me to use. he has seen the strap burn off the TR's in several LS-1's and obviously cause some unwanted after effects if you know what i mean. i have seen several R/T Dakota guys do it with their version of the plug when spraying. i am using the A-6's right now in the 408. i don't think they are that new, just not that well known. most of the local performance shops around here carry them. besides, you won't have to fight trying to close the gap to an acceptable size and keep the electrode and anode fairly square.
