Seems odd to me that people would think the tr220 was dramatically more radical than the LS9 which sees high rpms and boost. I understand that better springs exist than the ls6/9 springs but the tr220 is a baby cam by most standards. Lots of people running that combo and haven't heard of failures unlike 918 etc springs. In any case I would prefer ls6 springs in smallish cams and only trust good double springs in anything larger.

Look you are going to do whatever you want regardless of anyone opinion! We are only trying to help you bro b/c as already mentioned, a spring failure is a bit costly to repair after it destroys your head. Do it right the first time and drive it till the wheels fall off or wrench on it every weekend. It's up to you bro!
