Default About to swap oil pump in 2500hd 4wd... any advice?

I've read a few threads about not being able to get to the oil pump tube bolt in some of the 06-07 4wd trucks. I've seen on you tube a guy cutting a tab from the back of the tube so the flange could pivot to the outer bolt hole when installing. Well what is going to be my best bet for doing this. How about loosening the oil pan bolts and dropping it down some, will it clear that way? Thanks

If this is your first time, just pull the front diff out and drop the pan all the way down as far or pull it out will save you some time
