Default TR220 or 212/218 high lift

I am seriously thinking about changing my cam out in the next month or so...

I currently have the 212/218 low lift, I like how much it woke my truck up, but I am wanting something with more lift...

I am seriously considering the TR220 with the .581 lift but I dont think my TB converter is big enough.... I really dont want to change my converter, since I really dont want to change it that is why I am considering the 212/218 wtih the high lift..... I have looked into the 216/220 but the lift aint high enough on it...

what would you do:

stay with the 212/218 low lift?
swap to 212/218 high lift?
or swap to the TR220?
or maybe even custom grind a 216/220 with a higher lift??

thanks....

the 216/220 custom grind sounds good...mainly because you can test it before i buy it the 216/220 got sierracrews crewcab movin damn good. it seems like a good cam for heavier trucks like ours.

If all you want is more lift, then why not some 1.8 ratio rockers? Heck of a lot easier than swapping a cam.

Tom, I don't mean to be rude. I tried it, don't do it! Stay with the stock rocker. I think you are better off swapping cams. I would go for a Comp with a XER lobe, you will like it.

I have thought about this too, but I have actually read about more people having problems after they change their rockers than people having a great success after swapping rockers..... and knowing me (I am no engine guru) I wont be able to tell a difference if something is wrong with the rockers or not...

The 216/220 will be too much for the tb stall. Curtis ran it with a hughes 2500 and he said it needed a 3K to take full advantage of it. No way around using a small converter and wanting run badass times. My TCI 3K stall just got rebuilt by TCI its brand new now would work great with a tr220 350 and its urs AP.
