well the only thing that can be done different in towhaul is trans settings. like shift points and shift firmness etc etrc etc. there are no engine settings in tow haul mode. i had mine set at near factory settings and soft shifts in normal mode. then i hasd it set up to shift nice and firm in tow haul.

so your saying you can have it shift normal and then when you turn your tow/haul on it will shift firm. mine shifts a little too hard just for driving and I would like if I could be able to control that when i need too

I think in the tow haulass mode, he takes off more TQ management, and raised the shift points. I forgot about it when I ordered mine. Good thing for free updates

torque managment is only one table in a bunch of area's. it will be taken out at all times not just in tow haul. in tow haul the trucks use the performance tables and only trans tuning and shift points are changed.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was under the impression you could take out some for regular driving, and all for tow/haul.

understanding some of this would it be better to put tow/haul on when at the strip or ready to race on the streets or tow/haul off.

On my truck the tow/haul locks the converter and raises the shift points, it's an Allison, but I'm sure it would be the same on your's.

tow haul does not lock the verter in the gas trucks. it merely raises shift points and firmness ever so slightly. if you have it set up in a tune to go in tow haul then yes race it in tow haul. if they set it up regular then it will shift a hole lot harder in tow haul. i had mine set up easy going in normal and had it shift firm and diff shift points in tow haul.

Hi guys, You can set different amounts of torque management in tow haul mode and normal.

Every table that there is for the main mode is also there for the tow mode, Cruise mode and Hot trans overtemp.

Same with different shift pressures, Transmission gear upshift and downshift tables, and tons of other things.

Everything is 100% controllable.

You guys can download a trial version of efilive at www.efilive.com and you can check for yourselves what tables you guys can change. I have a few extra tables that i can minipulate that arent in any program software yet also, but they will be in efilive soon as i figure them all out on what they do exactly and send them to paul ....
