hi parish,
I just got Edit, and haven't tried it on my truck yet. But I have been reading the manual (several times). Anyway, I noticed that there are a few ETC specific controls that might be affecting you. 1) There is an ETC rev limiter by gear in the 'Idle + Limiters' tab. In the stock 6.0 LQ4 file I downloaded to look at, this value is set at 5600rpm, which matches your data. 2) Also, on the speed limiter tab there's a max mph/sec value, but this doesn't match your data. 3) Finally, on the ignition tab there's a tip-in torque graph that I think is enabled based on the same delta airflow as the burst knock. I know the burst knock pulls timing, but could the tip-in trq affect TPS too???
Hope this helps, and good luck with your new engine.

my tip in tq is all at 640 so i doubt that is a problem, i kicked the electronic speed limiter up to 160mph, it was at 96?, and i pushed it up to about 115 and it was still speeding up so that seemed to work.

that other table, "ETC rev limiter", looks interesting, i dont have ETC so i didn't really look at it but it is set at 5600, i will bump it up and try it later today.

Are you hitting a rev limiter parish? I notice on mine it doesn't bounce like your traditional rev limiter, it runs up to it and pulls throttle.

I've got to say, when I first noticed the try was electronic throttle, I was like man that thing is gonna have lag in it from the time I step on it to the time it opens WOT, but apparently that motor to control it is fast as hell. It will slam shut in about a half second judging from what ATAP says.

Later on I will try something to make sure I'm getting the right counter. I noticed EFILive has several things for the TPS.

now thats what i am talking about, thanks for your help guys.

now it is time to work on that shift, look at the rpms at the 1-2shift, once it starts to shift it takes 1.5sec to finish, it feels just like it looks, just kind of slips into 2nd over a loooooong period of time. i will start a new thread for that one.

oh yea, somtimes i see a - timing number right at the shift but it is just one cell sometimes nothing to worry about. and it feels sooo good now, i even got a small 2nd gear scratch
